Ridin' around...hop in.

Pics from Uwharrie NF July 26/27

We hit the trails at URE NF saturday afternoon immediately following a torrential downpour from a slow moving thunderstorm.:monkeydance:
The crew consisted of a Land Cruiser, a Jeep Cherokee, a 4Runner and the Foz.

After a few miles of greasy trails, where me and the Foz and the Land Cruiser left the 4Runner and the Jeep spinning on the side of the hill,:lol:it was already time to make camp, so the LC and Jeep headed back toward their campsite. Before the storm they had setup camp at the top of "Daniel". The 4R and I sat at the bottom of the hill and listened to them tear the front end off the Jeep....we headed on towards falls Dam trail, a trail more suited to the conditions and the 4Runners abilities.:poke::ebiggrin:
There's video to back all this up!:iconwink:

Checking out a abused campsite.

We camped at the edge, Richard promptly started gathering wood for a fire to run off the bugs and to warm the Boston butt that Tony brought for supper.:discomonkey:
And time to get down to those tasty berries in the blueberry shine.:monkeydance:

I slept in a eno hammock, Tony had a fishing net hammock and Rich made the passenger seat in the Runner a bed for the nite.

Great vid & pics. Awesome to see the Foz performing so well :lildevil:

Thanks. The Foz did perform beyond all expectations in the mud. The Jeep driver was over heard saying to his wife, "I wanna Subaru".

Slip slidin' away....:iconwink:

Mucky, muddy, slippery fun!!!

 Def fun!

Is this stuff real? Or are you actually wearing a bikini under all that mud?

:rotfl:
Its all real...
Bikini?? Def was good conditions for a mud wrestling match, 'cept for the lack of womenz.

I'm not sure what Tannin is sayin'.......
