BeeJ XS DR Forester

Hey Guys,
As promised some initial pics as purchased.

162k MY04 XS Forester Luxury Spec

Build Plans
Just ordered bash plate
soon to order 2" sumo lift.
Quick sway disconnect.
Getting complete service tomoro (all fluids changed etc)
Shopping for tyres atm
way down the track, stereo

only issues to fix (that I know of) that centre diff whine (smurfs blood), and sunroof can be troublesome and stop working and require reset (havent confirmed best approach)...

Big thanks to Stilson for his help and block design
Just got the front done finish the rear tomorrow
I will post a detailed write up when we are done for anyone else who is thinking of doing this

Questions!
My front sway connects broke when we were doing this mod. Anyone recommend replacements?
Geniune, whiteline or leave off?

Cheers

I replaced my rear ones years ago with whitelines & they've been going strong ever since, with no drama's what so ever :)

However, when I replaced the front one's with the whitelines, I ended having a few issues shortly after. They started making a strange clicking sound, so I ended up dis-connecting them (well it was one side actually)

Hope this helps.

Thats a lift ! Nice ! Waiting for the rear to be done.

Try the universal sway bar links you cut to size. cut them longer than stock to match your lift.

nice ill check it out.

In the mean time here is a pic with lift all round.
Just need rear trailing arm spacers, and the extended sway links

There's 9mm of camber correction on the rear blocks.
Once it rolls back and forth I think the rear wheels will settle at 0 camber.

Those universal end links look good.

I would just use some 3/4inch tubing and cut it into just under 2 inch pieces and stick it in there when you install it just to keep it from crushing in the event of an impact.
