Ever since I have been into Subaru’s I have wanted a 4x4 Justy. Last Christmas my wife gave me Rusty :) She bought him off of her Brother’s roommate for $500. Included in the sale were 2 sets of steel wheels, a complete 2nd engine (<future turbo build ;)) and a box of assorted parts. All I can say is I love my Wife ;)

This car is currently serving as my DD until my OBS is back on the road. I own several Subaru’s, but this one is in all honesty my favorite, lol. Well, enough chit-chat, on to the good stuff .

i want your cassett pocket :) Thats where i would move my gauges.

They are pretty rare, lol. I always get asked where I got it from, from other Justy owners around town. It just came with my Justy is all I can say, lol.

In other news, I have finally replaced all the seals in the old engine and all I need to do left is throw it all back together :) I am anxiously awaiting our first trail together after the rebuild ;)

Looks like rusty is ready for webster .u coming this weekend
I will be in Chicago this weekend for a family deal :( I will make it out at some point, lol. I still need to drop the oil pan and do a re-seal since it is now leaking pretty bad :( Fix one thing and another breaks...life of an older car.

what a little beast, i love it!

It is running pretty poorly right now, but I am saving up for a complete rebuild, new head, and possibly some nice tricks inside for some more power as an N/A ;) The Turbo will be coming together a little later on than expected sadly :(

Looking good Cañon Carver :)
I too really like those lights you have mate
Sorry to hear about the leaking seal.

Regards
Mr Turbo

Love the stealth spotlights!

Where's your rear bumper?
Thank you, I have another set of square lights to fit behind there as well so stay tuned ;) My rear bumper beam is currently being sandblasted and having a few "upgrades" added to it. It will only be temporary until I have the tube bumper fabbed up.

Thank you as well Mr Turbo :) I thought long and hard on the placement of the lights and so far I am very pleased. The seals are just something else to fix on a rig that sees daily driven use and trail duty as well. I am pretty proud of how well the little guy does on a daily basis after all the stuff I put it through.

The Justy's hunting grounds :) All Colorado (or otherwise, lol) members are welcome to come join me on the trails we have here in Cañon City. They are rapidly being shut down due to reforestation and people being stupid and trashing the place, but this is called "The Loop" in Sand Gulch. There is camping and a really nice trail that is not that difficult, but very scenic with various spots to pull over and hike around. Caves are aplenty in the area and rock climbers have access to great walls with ready made trails spiked in the walls.

Trail straight out and in the distance as it comes into the valley from the rocky area. Hiking trail to the right closer up.

You can just make out the Jeep on the upper left a little bit off the trail ;)

My buddys YJ Wrangler that we used to go picture taking. The Justy has been all over this trail many times, even though some of the rocks are over 12" in clearance, lol.

When u going ?

I can go to this trail basically any time I want, it is only about 30 min out of Cañon City :) It is open to dirt bikes, ATV's, etc, pretty much anything that can make it up the trail, lol. I am free usually during the week since I am currently unemployed and about to start school. I work every Saturday and every other Sunday. The area I am in is more of a big playground of different little trails, so we could have a good whole day of trailing here :)

Ok, sounds good. If we do stuff in Springs Rusty wouldn't make it :( At this point he is in town/close trails only. I am waiting on ball joints before I hit any more trails right now.

Ok sounds good . maby dirtyru and hidden can join ill see whats going on

Re-timed Rusty last night and set valves again to try and eliminate the ticking. I am pretty sure I need new hardware for the adjuster screws and I am thinking that my balance shaft chain and guide are toast. All this means Rusty is going under the knife again :( The good news is I have a lot of the parts already, and I have other vehicles to drive so I can actually get it done and not worry about a weekend job. It is a good thing though, when Rusty is all back together It will be a brand new beast, with a little more power under the hood, some new hardware, and possibly a new look ;)
