Hey guys, my name is Jamie, and this is my Justy build.

Ever since I have been into Subaru’s I have wanted a 4x4 Justy. Last Christmas my wife gave me Rusty :) She bought him off of her Brother’s roommate for $500. Included in the sale were 2 sets of steel wheels, a complete 2nd engine (<future turbo build ;)) and a box of assorted parts. All I can say is I love my Wife ;)

This car is currently serving as my DD until my OBS is back on the road. I own several Subaru’s, but this one is in all honesty my favorite, lol. Well, enough chit-chat, on to the good stuff .

-5spd W/ Push Button 4WD

Sounds like you're going to be a little busy with the new project on Rusty Cañon Carver :)

I am going to be busy indeed, lol.



Here are the plans I have set aside for this next engine pull.

-Head replaced with a freshly rebuilt unit
-All lower end replaced
-Entire engine hot tanked, sandblasted, then treated with a thermal coating
-Pistons, rods, crank and balance shaft coated in anti friction moly coating
-Transmission gone through (2nd gear synchro is out, might just rebuild entire thing)

Had the rear bumper powder coated in Steel Blue Pearl Metallic, very pretty and more is to come ;)

Currently I have a couple mounts and brackets for the engine bay, as well as the hood hinges and rear tow hook in for coating. I plan on pulling all the undercarriage and coating it as well. Might as well since my buddy owns a powder coating business, right? :)

For now I am only doing various brackets and the undercarriage in the Steel Blue Pearl. My buddy has already expressed the want to coat the entire car and bake it in the oven ;) I would have to remove all seam sealer and various plastics in order to do that, so probably not happening any time soon, lol. The Justy will go as planned with a nice flat Tan paint job, nothing fancy.
 
Had a member over on the RS25 site photoshop the new look for Rusty. The colors are a bit off from the real deal, but it looks pretty decent.

I have about 13 different brackets and such out to powdercoat at the moment, so stay tuned for more updates in the future ;)
