Venoms lifted H6 Gen2 Lib

Hey guys,

Thought i might share the details of my car around on here ;) I bought this in March. Flew up to Al's from AMAutos place in QLD and drove it back to Victoria with my girlfriend co-driving. This was Als personal car which he converted to a EZ30D. Pit-stop at Bennies to show off on the way back of course. I had a month wait to get into the engineers, which was worth it. Only changes required were a padded steering wheel and a quieter muffler, easy :D I had to change to stock shocks and springs for the RWC which i wasn't happy about because they were engineered.

Current specs are:
2003 Outback H6
V3 STI gearbox
4.44 ratio diffs
Front LSD, clutch pack Rear LSD on my desk
277mm WRX front brakes

Fuel use has so far averaged 9.53L/100km over 5 tanks of fuel. It is very efficient on the highway and around town if driven appropriately.

Plan is to build this into an off-roader.

These are Als pics from the sale and his posts on the conversion process.

Ooh, GTB :lildevil: Someone's been spending a lot of time online lol. Where did you get them from...import monster?

Are they air vents above the handles on the door trims? Love the fold down headrests. Now you'll have to find folding mirrors lol

Heated folding mirrors you mean

The whole lot came from a very nice GTB street car turned into a gutted out track car. Lucky for me the owner was just about ready to throw the lot out to get back some space, and I really only paid for the new mid wing.

It all looks fantastic, V.

What a score!

From my Batphone

Thanks RB.

In other news the Monster has put some floaties on my motor and it's swimming to Australia as we speak.

Looks kinda cool? Not as bad as I thought anyway.

Not sure if I've showed them before but you can also see the mustache bar support brackets that Nachaluva fabricated to fit with my 2" lift kit. I've bent/broken the captive nut prior to installing these brackets, should reduce the chances of that occurring again.

I'm not sold on the grille either, but it can sit there for a while until i get another one.

Engine is on a boat at the moment, with a 12-odd week wait for it to turn up at the Import Monster warehouse in Melbourne. I think I have pretty much everything to freshen up the new motor, bar the valve cover gaskets which I'll order closer to the motors arrival.

New clutch fork and retainer clip, pivot ball, rubber boot and thrust bearing clips. Lillydale Subaru delivered to my door!

I didn't. I'll need some little rubbers or silicone, or put another badge on.

I used some grommets and silicon when i took the broken spoiler off my foz when i bought it, water still gets in though so it might not be a purmanent solution. I've rust in the bottom of my tailgate now.

The result of today's prep and paint. The grill came first and has some marks from the filing and cutting. Could have used a little filler and done some sanding between coats. Took a bit more time with the wing. Quite a few coats and a light sand before the last coat, so it came up quite well. The fibreglass isn't straight but not much I can do about that. Lots of grinding, filing and sanding to get it to sit nicely on the car too.

Looks very nice

You could put some tape or grommets in the tailgate holes so you dont get water in there, dont want rust!
