MY07 Forester XT Auto

What Tyre Brand are you on -
Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S - G012
What Size are they - 215/60R17
What type are they - All Terrain
Are they grippy or not? Well, they are grippier than the original G900's, but I presume that's no surprise...
Are they noisy or quiet? Quiet enough. A bit of road noise on certain speeds, but nothing concerning
Are they good for offroad or just onroad use? Good on-road (better than I expected). Had limited offroad so far - gravel tracks only - but are rated good. Will have a long sand trip in a couple weeks, so will update sand performance later.
What Life span are you getting out of them? Have done about 2k kms so far as they still look brand new. I'm expecting around 40k kms.
Do you like them or not really? YES!! They've been very good!

What Tyre Brand are you on? Michelin Energy XM1+
What Size are they? 215/60/R16
What type are they - wet/dry Wet & Dry
Are they grippy or not? Extremely grippy
Are they noisy or quiet? Super Quiet
Are they good for offroad or just onroad use? Both. They are mainly a road tyre but I have been all through the Flinders Ranges, Oodnadatta Track and all over outback South Australia on them. Not one puncture in 4000km offroad on some of the rockiest, roughest terrain in Australia.
What Life span are you getting out of them? 85,000km last set, currently up to 71,000km on current set - aiming for 90,000km!
Do you like them or not really? A brilliant tyre, very strong, prodigious puncture resistance, long lasting WITH GREAT GRIP and fuel economy. Will be buying them again for sure.

What Tyre Brand are you on?BFG
What Size are they?215/70/16
What type are they - wet/dry very good on both
Are they grippy or not? Road yes-Trails don't know yet
Are they noisy or quiet? A little road noise, so what though
Are they good for offroad or just onroad use? They should be great off road, and safer than road biased tires
What Life span are you getting out of them?New
Do you like them or not really?
I love them so far.
I wanted General Grabber AT2 but national back order
In the end I am very happy. I think the BFGs might be a bit tougher.
I decided against the yokas because I was out trail riding and saw a yoka get ripped right thru the tread.

What Size are they?
215/70R15
Stock Size:
205/70R15
What type are they: wet/dry All Terrain
Are they grippy or not?
Road yes. Offroad Defernatley. Beat the hell out of H/T's offroad.
Are they noisy or quiet?
Very little road noise compared to H/T's
Are they good for offroad or just onroad use?
Good compromise between a Hardcore offroad tyre and highway tyre. Grip like hell on gravel and are excellent on sand of any sorts. Good in rock and rut situations and light mud but not so good in deep mud.
What Life span are you getting out of them? Done nearly 4000km and they look brand new
icon_mrgreen.gif
im expecting 40,000+ from them
Do you like them or not really?
Yes, I wanted a bigger size that would fit the wheel wells but that wouldnt rub. The AT-S was one of very few decent brands that offered this size. I didnt want 215/75R15.
They are a good alrounder. Will be getting them again!

Regards
Taza

Do you like them or not really? Great tyre, no complaints

As mentioned elsewhere second set, wasnt purchasing anything else. Very suprised how good these were on road and in the wet and how quiet they are (If you can hear them over my exhaust). Was told AUD price going up soon and paid $265 a corner, not bad considering I estimate 80k out of this set. Will post up a video breaking them in soon :)

What Tyre Brand are you on? BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's
What Size are they? 215/70/16 (oversized)
What type are they - All-Terrain (Winter Rated)
Are they grippy or not? Great all-round traction regardless of snow, ice, dirt, sand or mud.
they noisy or quiet? Semi-quiet. They add road noise, but nothing bad.
they good for offroad or just onroad use? Great on both.
What Life span are you getting out of them? Some people are getting 50,000+ miles. I'm extremely hard on mine, I have worn them down about 1/3 and I've had them or a mere 10,000 miles.
Do you like them or not really? Yep, would by them again.

I bought these tires for added off-road traction, larger size and snow use. They work absolutely amazing in the snow and slick conditions. They wear very well, on-road handling is actually very good, and I throw the car through corners like they're regular tires and they take the abuse just fine. Haven't been stuck in them yet.

I have just updated my data at post #18 in this thread.

What Life span are you getting out of them? I initially said that I got 56,000 kms from my first set of Michelin Energy XM1's.

With the current set (2nd) I am now looking at 64,841 kms, I had this set fitted at 135,159 kms and in 2 weeks time the Forester goes in for it's 200,000 km Service still with the same set of tyres still fitted.

I am very happy indeed with the longevity and grip these tyres have given me.
