1" lift blocks

Sounds like fun!
Now you just have to work out a quick disconnect for your bumpers and side skirts and you'll be set ;) :poke:

I'd need a quick disconnect for every panel with red paint on it before I go bush again.

Today my 1" lift was fitted to the Red XS with Taza's help.
All went well.
I'll have to give the DIY bash plate a tiny trim off the corner because it hits on hard lock and I discovered that my self leveling shocks are reaching the ends of their lives. But no real issues.

All up I'm very happy with how it looks and drives now. The photo's don't show it too well but it is visibly higher if you look for it. Still, if you saw it on the street you wouldn't think "that there is a lift vehicle", it would have to be next to another Forry, which is how I want it. And it's still a good handling car on the road.

Can't wait to test it on the beach again!

Nice, welcome to the stratosphere !

Add some 215 70 16 tires and you'll have a very capable Foz.

Very nice. I know about the photo's it looks higher in real life. I parked next to a stock forester the other day and it's very noticeable then.

Yeah I like my offroad sleeper. Should be less scraping on most tracks and I now have 1" less sand to plow through at 2 Rocks.

Here's a comparison photo of stock Vs 66.6mm lift + 225/70r16

Like the lift Red XS!
Is that silver Foz a member on here? Didn't know you could fit 225/70r16 on an 06. Man I want that bullbar for mine!

Stilson could make anything fit! I know they scrape under full lock and he's replaced the plastic wheel arch lining with lino (not sure if this gave him more room or not), but they make his car very capable.
And on the SG9's the Subaxtreme is the best looking bullbar.

I have to disagree. The Subaxtreme bar on the late SG's is ugly as hell. The Irvine bar on them looks much better. Look at Beej's 06 XT..
Stronger and better approach angle.

Time for a bar now Red! Keep an eye on ebay as they come up often.

Ah Stilson. Last time I saw his car on the forum he hadn't colour coded the bullbar yet. Looks good. Something doesn't sit right with me with both of them, still think I'd go the Subaxtreme if I had the choice

Most of the Irvin bar looks great, but I just find that one vertical bar done the the centre ruins the entire look of of them. I do understand why they put it there and I know it's better in every practical way, but I still don't like the look of it.

If I got a bullbar I'd look like a real 4wd and loose my offroad sleeper look.

I agree with you on the Irvin bars, they look awesome except that extra bar.

As for your bar, you could follow the route that blanket took on the outback?:iconwink:
But I think you love big Red a bit much for that :P

Irvin charge around $2000 for their bull bar. I think I'll just keep the plastic bumnper and scrap the hell out it.

This one looks alright

But that won't be happening anytime soon as money is the most limiting issue.

The Subaxtreme bar on the late SG's is ugly as hell.

C'mon Taza! They're not that bad...

Have a look at mine, after it's been colour coded, it looks alright!!

Good times now that my Foz looks almost stock and is quite a bit more capable. :discomonkey:

Pedro.
