I still think that the tyre should be in more upright position. What do you guys reckon?

Cheers,

Long.

That looks great tuckerbag :)
Well done mate

Are you going to mount the rego plate on the wheel somehow, or just leave it as is ?
Just wondering, because the last thing you want or need is to cop a fine for having it blocked :iconwink:

Mr Turbo

That looks really good tuckerbag! Great job, is it custom or off the shelf?
What about if you need to open the boot? does it fold down?

I drove 400km on half a tank of petrol. Seems alright to me considering it was very hilly and the foz had to work overtime to get past a few trucks on some of the hills..

Yes, that will be the project for the near future ;). Im thinking of using the trailer plug for power.

I bought the bike carrier base from Repco (on sale for $45) plus some metal at home.

The boot opens just fine when the carrier is tilted.

tuckerbag: really nice indeed! I thought of something like that when I saw bike racks on sale... Now I'll have to try it  I was afraid the bottom the rack would reduce the rear approach angle... which wouldn't be so good offroad.

Mmmm what? Maximum I can do on a full tank is about 440km... That's on the highway at 100km/h, windows closed, no roof bars :(

My Forester is only a 2.0l and manual. This was at 110km/hr. If I sit at 90-100 I get better, I once got 750km to a tank on a long run sitting at 105 with no wind and no overtaking

I gave my Forry a new set of wipers (FlexBlades) today :raz:
I also topped up the windscreen wiper bottle & added some rain x to it too :iconwink:

I also took it for a nice, spirited drive  to the mountains for a round of golf with a few of the guys from work :)

I installed my new Narva 175 Driving lights today :) Just looking for a switch to fit the switch panel board on the right hand side... Anyone know of one that is a good fit?

Also bought a new roof cage online getting ready for the next decent trip... Location of trip as yet unknown but doesn't hurt to be prepared.. :p

Jacko.

Again my Forester is falling to bits and it hasn't even been offroad. Driving it home tonight from out bush and heading into/down the Perth hills I hear a loud bang and after that there was something majorly wrong with the suspension. Steering wheel wobbling like crazy when even the slightest turn right. Normal when turning left, loud grinding, knocking and squealing from front suspension. I was unable to tell what side. A very bad/annoying vibration through the floor of the car :(
Kept getting worse as I kept driving, was starting to wonder if I was gonna make it home lol
After much thinking I have come to the conclusion that the car will be retired or atleast not used as a daily driver once I get another car. It just keeps falling apart, I don't want to whinge but it just isn't a reliable car :( It doesn't even have high km on it, only 185k..
Will look at this issue tomorrow sometime..

took off the wheels to clean out all the mud inside the wheels and all over the brakes, now contemplating if its really worth putting the fenderliner back in again

I have the Justy running again....

Not again taza :sadbanana:
Like thunder039 said, hopefully it's something simple & easy to fix mate.
Together with being easy on the hip pocket too.

. . . SNIP . . .

Number 1: Bugger!!

Number 2: NEVER continue driving a car making this kind of noise, and displaying these symptoms!!!!! Naughty, NAUGHTY. You could kill yourself; or worse, someone else.

I am hoping that you inspected it visually when it first started doing these things ... Sounds like another broken CV, maybe?
