My son just let me know tonight that the tail light and dash light of our MY06 Forester are out (from the stalk). Have checked no blown bulbs and fuses. Interestingly on checking park lights, front fog lights and license lights are out too. Brake lights, reverse lights, high and low beams are working. Had the reverse camera replaced last week and apparently the lights are out since. Radio, reverse camera and air con all work fine too.
Anyone has any idea?

IIRC, my MY06 has a fuse for these lights in the engine bay fuse box, as well as/instead of, the fuse/s in the interior behind the coin pocket to the right of the driver's right knee.

It's too bloody cold (3.8°c), and too early here, to check! We're still having our first coffee for the day, I bed ...

HTH, PS.

Thanks Ratbag, I'll check again later when I have the car - the son is never home (and thus the car) :)
It's cold and it seems you're up so early.

The cat wakes up at around 0600h ...
And walks all over us until we get up and feed her ... :( .

Problem solved, the "Illumi" fuse was blown - didn't check this one last night.

That's good, PS.

Now, does anyone know about good dash lights?

I can barely see them at night, even on full intensity.
I've fitted LEDs in the instrument panel, and that's worse.

The wife's SH instrument panel is very well illuminated on full, and dims down to acceptable. I've tried two different kinds of LEDs, to no avail.

Luckily you managed to find suitable LEDs RB as I couldn't. The way I managed the same problem couples of years back was replaced the dash cluster with one of similar mileage, luckily I managed to source one on eBay.

Not sure if these on Ali Express are of any good?
1st, 2nd

For general driving I rely more on my permanently mounted Scangauges in both vehicles. The Triton dash is very hard to see in daylight
