I see one of the EV Audis got it bum ripped off - batteries are probably too heavy

Well ...... good until he rolled it on its sideHow good that must be for that fella!!
There is a class of vehicle that are pretty much standard Toyota has dominated this class for yearsI’ve enjoyed watching the highlights on YouTube. Stumbled across it one night in my video suggestions.
Every sort of sport evolved into the corporate money making type of sport, and the Dakar is no different. There are certainly better safety systems at play for the drivers and teams than there was “back in the day”. But much like Bathurst, while it’s awesome to see the race bred vehicles do their thing, I’d love to see a minimally modified factory class run as well, kind of under the old motto of “raced on Sunday, sold on Monday” of the factory vehicles.
Either way, I’m always in awe of the riders and drivers! They’re boarderline insane!! I was very surprised to see that one of the trucks was driven by a paraplegic (awesome!). How good that must be for that fella!!
Good to see the Aussie riders doing us proud. And it’s interesting to see that we have a growing number of contestants as the years go on.
Cheers

Was running 5 over took 2 cars then got lost found her way back but behind the 2 cars she over took earlier was pushing hard but didn't see a big dip and hit it too hard and smashed the front end then had to wait 2 hours for their assistance truck finished in the dark but finishedAt this stage of the race Daniel is still is a good position; looks like "something" happened to Molly as she's dropped to 26
I know what you mean. Up until the late 90s we had homologation rules pretty much on everythink top-tier. It was a different era because anyone could buy the same chassis as the one that's being raced. Imagine that!!! Besides, it showcased how manufacturers built their vehicles, not how race car companies were run.Every sort of sport evolved into the corporate money making type of sport, and the Dakar is no different. Yes, from the 80-series on, they have won the unmodified class and nothing else comes close yet. There is a class of vehicle that are pretty much standard Toyota has dominated this class for years
