NSW Trips for Newbies

Sure, Upgrade! Something I should really do, starting to feel guilty about it. I use Imgur (have been for years) and just embed them. :)

Just paid, reasonable price for 1 year even though it's USD. You guys have provided me some good info. Happy to contribute. Did the top tier one for $28 USD.

Might do Turon this weekend, depending on rain otherwise I'll do one of my previous tracks. Any newbies on here doing some AWD friendly trecking? Am I posting in the right place?

Am I posting in the right place?
I reckons you are. :)
Not just the newbies might want to join you. Have you looked into the NSW club? They're advertising a trip on the 29th. I'd be a member if I was down there.
No Subaru specific clubs up where I am, but I've seen quite a few modified Subarus up here. I'm thinking of doing up a flyer and sticking it on the windows of the modified Subarus I've spotted around (when they're parked of course!).
The 4WD club up here seems to be all hardcore machines, and their website is a bit err.. lacking.

Yeah I've book marked that club for later use. I'm not really sociable so meet ups aren't on my radar anytime soon. lol

A Man after my own heart. (y) One of the reasons why I moved to Cairns (apart from it being paradise) and am now looking for somewhere further away from people.

Yep. I don't find the need to socialise unless I have to. I joined a "car club" many years ago but it was just a waste of my time and there was not much to talk about.

I mean, i don't mind getting together with people though for road trips into the bush. But the "lets meet at maccas, and take photos" thing is just not for me. lol

The trip is full and has been for quite some time due to COVID attendee limitations - 20 people. I'm a member of that local Subie club

Yeah I saw that trip. I'll keep it on the books. I don't mind meeting people to go on a trip, something that has purpose etc.

I ended up doing Wheeny Creek and Upper Colo again. Same track as before. It was really wet too, real fun. Got a little messy and it was peaceful. Ended up driving around Mountain Lagoon. Didn't realise it's a small little settlement of a few houses in the middle of the mountain dip. Really amazing. Didn't stay or take photos as I didn't want to look like a "tourist" lol. It's better just to drive and absorb sometimes, instead of taking photos.
