Not a bad idea, actually. The spare is easier to access than when it's on the roof and/or in the spare wheel well.. I am not sure though if one truly wants to give up on that sweet Subaru boot space.That's how the spare was OEM mounted in my 1980s Range Rover.
The swing mount on the blue SG? I am having a hard time contacting them but somebody from Germany told me that they are still operational. He said they may just be focusing on the Middle East or Eurasian market.Can you still get these??
They even have the alloy sill protection that most Subaruers are after.
