That's how the spare was OEM mounted in my 1980s Range Rover.

Not a bad idea, actually. The spare is easier to access than when it's on the roof and/or in the spare wheel well.. I am not sure though if one truly wants to give up on that sweet Subaru boot space.

Can you still get these??

The swing mount on the blue SG? I am having a hard time contacting them but somebody from Germany told me that they are still operational. He said they may just be focusing on the Middle East or Eurasian market.

They even have the alloy sill protection that most Subaruers are after.

I called a supplier today and asked about a Gravel Express tyre carrier and he said that somebody from the UK just bought the rear tyre carrier assembly and it will be picked up today. Bad news?

I have been looking all over the country. I missed one supplier in the Waikato region. My bad. He said he had another call from the US a few days ago. Welp.
