What irks you?

I accidently found this on my gps log , whilst being quite impressive it wasnt me driving ive never been over 150mph so it has to be some one who ive left the car with it could be one of two companies .
What does the panel think i should do?

Tracked/raced? It's not easy to find such straightaways/back-straights where you can do 217mph on a Forester which has a ~160mph top speed. It may have been a proving ground but still, wind resistance won't allow it. Haha.

I stay on the speed limit all the time when on public roads but the GPS log on my old Garmin recorded 159 kph and it was one event that I can still remember. I was on my way to Auckland and on the very steep State Highway 5, from Hawke's Bay to Taupo, I was just cruising with my Toyota Cresta JZX90 when I got tailed by a brand new Ford Focus. I would give him space to overtake but he wouldn't and just stayed around 0.2 seconds behind my vehicle. It was truly bothersome and irritating! Even on passing lanes, he would just stay behind me and steer left and right as if he wanted to race me. I even slowed down to 60 kph on passing lanes just to get him to leave me alone! Then on the downhill just before Taupo, I decided that the best way to get rid of him due to his behaviour is to leave him behind. I overtake using the legal 110kph but I always use a lead speed as it is the proper overtaking method. I decided to use 160kph as a lead speed and I overtook 10 tailgating cars on a good straightaway. Upon getting back to the left lane, a police interceptor appeared after a crest. My timing was just right and I was able to cruise back to Auckland and never encountered the bully Focus again. I wouldn't race on the road as I raced on the track and on the dirt. I keep my adrenaline intact as, if ever I will race/rally again, I will just use my reserved energy for such.

The @Lockheed vehicle has had "just a little bit" of work done to it! ;) I think it runs on Red Bull.

Like @Kevin kindly said the forester sti I have is extensively tricked up and is running 500bhp and the gearbox im led to believe it has taller gears any way its the gearing all the drag cars over here use for that reason.
I may have jumped to the wrong conclusion regarding the speed because I had a mapper destroy my first 2.35 forged build which ended up with sixteen bent valves . I found out afterwards that he and my parts supplier/engine builder had a bitter row over the supply of piper camshafts which led to a few handbag for tat shaftings , and i was not the only victim.

The mapper/tuner admitted to revving to 8000rpm (i suspect more) but there was no proof of this as the linkG4+ wasn't data logging at the time or the data was wiped . so i ended up paying for sixteen Inconel valves and every thing else that's associated with removal and refitting cylinder heads .

The tuner lent me a mx5 so I could get home (350 miles) . the next day he phone me to say the car had for bald tyres and could I replace them and he would reimburse me . he didn't .

the tuner removed the engine and sent back to the builder who fixed it and then sent it back for the tuner to refit which he did and it was a mess , cables and pipes every where and the brand new grimmspeed tmic had most of the fins bent and the front o/s wing had a big dent in it .

So i feel i have every reason to think foul play.

That's tough @Lockheed. I see where you're coming from. Even Subarus here with that power get taken for a joy ride by their tuners or even by people from valet parking. It would be nice if they would confide to the act but if they won't, proving such is difficult, unless you have one of those hidden GPS tracker devices where they give you the complete location, date and time log.

My 2 biggest pet hates are:
1. Drivers using mobile phone instead of hands free.
Under a Queensland Government crackdown (July 1 2019), motorists caught using their mobile phone could be slapped with a $1,000 on-the-spot fine.
2. People who camp in the RH lane on dual lane carriageways and refuse to move over.
I almost wish I had James Bond's car with a .30 cal laser aimed mini-gun covertly mounted up front to wake them up.

Patrick Stewart , this is a celeb known for being Jean luc Picard the worst to captain the starship enterprise . this man has spent most of his life state side and now he is poking his nose into Brexit …. What the hell does he know … absolutely nothing , no one knows !
So what Irks me ….. stupid celebs getting involved in Politics

HID lights. These should be banned in Australia. Such a poop light. I don’t care what anyone says, they’re glary. LED lights aren’t far behind either.

People using their mobile phones. I’m dumbfounded at the number of ppl I see onthen while trying to drive at the same time. One or the other people, one or the other!!

Driver’s who lack confidence.

Not winning the lottery to get a foot in the home ownership market. I think I’ll just keep playing with my Subaru’s.

Cheers

Bennie

And the fact that sh*t gets swapped with “poop” on the forum. This should at least be “poo” since we’re an Australian based site, keep the aussieisms alive!
