I’ve been on the road in the Outback for about 2 weeks now. Pretty stoked! I have the car loaded up to the GVM and thanks to the Kings springs the car is sitting at pretty much stock height. I’ve taken it on it’s first 4wd experience to Cape Peron in Shark Bay, WA. Absolutely cruised through, occasionally scraping the sump guard.

Some other additions since the last post are, roof pod, recovery tracks, and a rear spare wheel bag but mounted to the roof racks on top of the recovery tracks for putting rubbish or firewood not in the car. Been working a treat so far.

Anyway, hope some of this might help someone in future.

I hope you haven't planned on doing the CSR (Canning Stock Route).

Well, what a trip so far. Stunning!!!
Some suspension issues on all vehicles. Some tyre issues on all vehicles, mine being the worst. The sidewalls kept tearing. 28 plugs was my best.
2 new tyres and new shocks (diff twisted enough to shag the shocks).
Major issues with the upper control arms. Tore both left n right off the x member.
Being welded up now in halls creek. Off again for the Kimberley leg this arvo.

Hey [MENTION=145]El_Freddo[/MENTION] that was at Warroora station, just south of Coral Bay, WA. The Ningaloo reef is only about 100m off the beach there, making an amazing spot for swimming and snorkelling sheltered from the swell, great fishing and great surfing. Got the Subie working hard on the tracks there. Lots of sand and lots of rocks. After that we went to Karrijini, and now I’m at Cape Leveque.
