Autotest: can u handbrake turn a Foz?

The other way to do it is with a scandianivan (spelling?) flick...
Scandinavian ;)

I take this dirt road behind our house to work and back and it is a blast to drive. It slopes down a bit, has a perfect S turn, long sweeper, and a right hander. I drive my FWD Nissan (setup for autocross) through there at 40-50mph regularly and am getting pretty good at keeping those speeds through the corners. The gravel changes all the time (dry, wet, slick, etc) and tonight it was just right. I came downhill, did the little flick on the wheel at 50, went sliding around the right hander while modulating the throttle completely sideways, went through the sweeper, and then hit the S. Dipped down into the first corner, came out and into the second, did the flick, sideways again, and just pulled out screaming away

FWD is great for pulling out of slides, but AWD is faster. My "dream car" is a 2000 2.5RS 2door, and when I grow up and become rich, I'll buy me one  Until then, I'll keep beating up on my Nissan and Lisa's Outback (which I've driven on that road a few times and it's fun, but soft - my Nissan is faster, but it's setup to be).

its proably been posted but you cant do it in a L seires with the standard brakes on, scandonavian flicks are fun. im yet to try the forester on some fast dirt roads but dads not bad with it....

classic adealdie 2009, we got caught behind a camera car (mitusbishi evo 6) as he took it though a creek trying to get back on the course. i have to footage of us being about 3 metres off his bumper at about 80 ks an hour on the dirt.
god i love to rally
