Here's the story ^^^ What an Awesome place, and we didn't even finish exploring. We only visited the lower falls, didn't make it to the upper falls, but we will certainly be going back.

Cool pics Carl. There are some great pics there.
The three that I really like are the water fall, the old wooden fence on the side of the walking track & the twisted tree, which just shows the wonderful, amazing mother nature we have.

Can't wait to go back and check out the upper falls, it a little bit longer of a hike and there was danger of a thunderstorm the day we were there.

Wish I had been able to see it when it was still in it's namesake form. Still, an amazing place a very different ecosystem from all the forest land surrounding it. I'm surprised that it's taking so long to regenerate from the fire in 1925.

Only if your a pre-teen do you have to go through the initiation to become a member.:iconwink: But, if you want to go to Hooters and can convince one of the girls to give you a peck on the cheek we can make arrangements.

I'm thinking for our Fall meet we may end up at Graveyard Fields, should be even cooler with the Fall colors happening. Keep your eyes open for a D.O.R.K. III post coming soon in Trip Reports, that will be where we are going if we can get a Sunday off-road excursion happening.

PS: Nice underwater and hybrid shots. What kind of camera is it? I got an underwater housing for my Canon Stylus last summer and am just starting to get the hang of it. With the new crop of water-, crash-, and cold-proof cameras, my housing is now suddenly retro. But still does the job, down to 100 feet.

Olympus Stylus 1050 its fun, and very small so you can stick it in between rocks and whatnot. Kind of a crap-shoot getting good under water shots, I just stick it in there and hope for the best. 1 out of 10 seems to come out OK.
