Valve cover seals

one thing I hate is when I bash a radiator and dent all those nice cooling fins. Once the fans and coolant is out (which you need for the pump replacement), the radiator is a couple of bolts - too easy.

I hate dropping the coolant. A choice piece of cardboard or mdf cut to shape and held in place over the exposed radiator fins with some tape does the trick of protecting those fins. Works a treat, saves time and is reusable for next time ;) It can also double as a record board of dates and work done on the vehicle.

Looks like I'm going to need to do my rocker cover seals pretty soon as they have both started leaking quite a bit.

So I've done a bit of a search and found this thread.

That's an excellent idea, particularly the dual purpose aspect. :thumbsup:
