I'd suggest caution with the Grabbers. I know some people love them but they have a reputation for being noisy and don't grip well onroad. They're a BFG KO knockoff & IMO nowhere near as good as the KO2.
I'd go for the Geolanders every time. I've put mine through hell for close to 50000kms & they still grip well (many tyres go hard with use which gives them good tread wear but is horrible for grip) plus they have maybe 1/3 tread left.

I have the Grabber AT's, not the AT2's and have heard the same as NachaLuva about the AT2's…

Pricewise I want to go for the Grabbers at $186 (AT not AT2). 98T rating.
If I were to go for highest quality then I'd go the KO2s at $245. 103S rating.
The Maxxis at $209 seem like a good compromise. 98T rating.
The D697s are second most exxy but highest of all ratings at $225. 106S rating.

Maxxis seem to be getting a good reputation. Club friends have just put Maxxis muddies on their Triton and another swears by the AT on a Ford Ranger, now on their second set. My son has put a set of Maxxis ATs on his Amarok. They all report that they are happy with them.

Dedman used the Maxxis Trepador directional muddies with great success! He's done some extremely difficult tracks with them

I've been running the Grabbers (AT2) for a couple years now on my 1997 Outback.
1) they are not loud. I ran super swampers on another Soob - those were loud. The grabbers are quieter than a lot of winter tires.
2) they grip pretty darn good on road - wet or dry.
3) the sidewalls could be thicker. I have the 215/65-16 98T. Other sizes have a higher load rating, and probably have thicker sidewalls.
4) tread is wearing very well. I think I have 20,000kms on them, and have only lost maybe 2-3mm.
5) my friend has a VW Vanagon, and got the KO2s in 215/65-16. I compared them to my AT2s before they were mounted, and there is no way I would put them on a Soob. I don't know how you would get any amount of sidewall flex on something as light as a Soob.
