Forrie totaled - what now

Hi Folks, At long last and after searching high and low, I think I have finally found a Forrie to replace my previously totaled vehicle. It is a 2010 2.0 n/a XS, unfortunately in black!
155000kms on the clock, full service history, $20 000 US. Iniquitous price I know, but such are vehicle prices in the Holy Land. I have not been able to differentiate between the X and XS. The only visual difference I can see is the XS has 17" rims. I was under the impression the XS had leather, however this vehicle does not. I hope I haven't been deceived and am actually buying a rebadged X. Any insight welcome. Will be taking the vehicle to get a bill of health check tomorrow and hopefully by Wednesday the car will be mine.

what's the VIN

XS would have alloys, fogs, etc
XS Premium would have leather and sunroof

Sounds good, Mike.

Hope the inspection goes well, and you are not being sold a pup ...

We get right royally screwed on vehicle prices here in Oz too, although these are going down since the local vehicle building industry comprehensively machine gunned itself in both feet over the last 40+ years. They have now all gone broke and are leaving, so maybe prices here will move more into line with places like the USA.

This vehicle is badged as an XS, has 17" Alloy's, fogs, cruise and radio controls on steering wheel, electric and heated seats, sunroof but no leather. Has had accident damage, right rear door replaced with hinges. Has a set of Zeta 225/55/17 mounted on the rims, guess I will run them till they die and then look for a set of AT tyres. Unfortunately we have annual MOT tests here and tyre size has to be as stated on licence. Started to look whats available in that size - not much! Vin number is JF1SHGLS5AG156725 and on the service records under type:FOC9TP if that makes any sense. Have been trawling the net trying to decipher the VIN without much success.
Getting excited, dying to get back into a Foz. Been driving a Suzuki Splash rental for the last few weeks, and while a very decent little car (impressive actually) I am done with looking at cars. Probably looked at 12-15 Foz's and done about 600km's gallivanting around tiny congested Israel, so am now officially knackered. The wheeling and dealing and sorting the grain from the chaff is bloody exhausting. As always thanks for the input and encouragement chaps.
Best Regards
Mike

Gidday Mike

Our SH tyre compliance plate states either 225/55 17" or 215/65 16". Ours has the former. If it were mine, I would swap the 17s out in a heartbeat!

But it's SWMBO's ... :iconwink: :)

yep my previous Forrie had 215/65/16's and a half decent set of yoko AT/S's on it. Might give the breaker yard where the car is sitting a call and try to pick them up. I know there is a way to get the tyre size changed on the licence as long as it is complient. However cant chop and change. Ie if I go to 16" and get the licence changed thats where I have to stay.

Sorry, forgot to mention the cat. No. For the KYB rear struts is 341486. Am I on the right track?
Once again thanks for the input.
Regards
Mike
