THis is the subaxtreme recovery point on my gen 3

I should have it powder coated again.

They are welded on my 2013 OB.

It is possible to use high-strength small-size shackles (yes they exist) or soft shackles with a load distribution strap and then another load distribution strap between this strap and the eye bolt, for a nominal 50/25/25 distribution.

A little hard to imagine they would be needed in sand though (shovel) or mud (ugh access).
