larger tyres - difference in economy /acceleration?

My 225/70R16 tyres have corrected the speedo error. It now reads exactly the same as my gps.

Mine too with 215/70r/16. Ultragauge reads 1 k/hr less than the speedo and gps reading.

Never been flashed on way home from work by a static redlight camera when set to a 100k/hr so I trust the speedo readout now.;)

235/60R16 are only 2mm more diameter than the 215/60R16, so near enough the same.
And they'll be about 10mm wider on either side of the tyre. So how much more than 1cm clearance is there kiwi?
Another note, will my H/T's use slightly less room than A/T of the same size?

Here's a picture, the chains just rub on the front spring perch with 215.65r16 on the 6.5" wide +48 offset SG X steel wheels. So a bit less than 1cm clearance, give or take. I can't fit my finger in the gap anyway. I currently have my road wheels on so can't measure at the moment.

Well I guess that rules 235/60R16 out. Cheers for that Kiwi.
