The difference in comfort between the SH and SG is quite noticeable. The SG is both more comfortable, and handles better. I put this down to the 55% profile tyres on the SH.

Make sure that the 215/70 16" will clear the spring perches, etc. With the SG, the biggest tyres that will fit without rubbing are 215/65 16". The SH is probably different, being that bit higher to start with.
 
Yeah the 17" are a bit limited, so far the only all terrains someones been able to fit on are cooper disco 3's, and I believe they rub.
Some people on sf.org have already tried out the 215/70 r16's and they look great.
 
I run 215 70 16 all terrains.

Tyre clears the factory spring perch.

It only rubs on full lock against the inner plastic liner of the wheel arch firewall side on my sg xt.

99.9% of the time, no scrubbing. Fills in the wheel arch beautifully.

Very happy.
