Detonation Ej25

So today I bought an 04 SG Forester X 2.5 manual. $1400 delivered to my front door.
Been in an accident 4 months ago. Wasnt covered by insurance as the driver was drunk.

Has 150, 000km, over all in very good condition.

Had to drag it onto the truck as the LHF suspension is bent, steering arm bent. Couldn't steer it until I put my foz to work and a mallet.

I can now drive it onto my driveway off the front lawn :P

Going to use the gearbox out of it for my build. Will drop the engine in too with all the wiring.

I've thrown in ej25 injectors and will probably add a walbro 255l fuel pump.
seems to run good on the EJ20 computer and has plenty of torque.
The car doesn't do much driving these days. Be lucky to do 500km a month in it. The new custom b oz is rear to go In and I need to spend some time and change a heap of rear end compnents that are stuffed....
 
u sure you need a bigger fuel pump? wouldn't the pressure regulator just drop the pressure back down to what it should be as standard anyway? usually if installing a big fuel pump, you'd also install an aftermarket adjustable pressure regulator. this is normally only required for high HP applications. I did this in my turbo legacy when I upgraded to larger injectors and dyno tuned the car with aftermarket ECU. Changing the fuel system around it's good to tune the ECU at the same time.

Seems like in your case if you are running an EJ25 it would be a good idea to run an EJ25 ECU and if that's not possible, an aftermarket one.
 
Ive got an ej25 ecu and full harness just don't have rhe time to put it in.
The 2.0l computer has reached its limit. An EJ22 wouod be fine on it but high compression 25 with cams is too much to ask for..

That is the best option..
