TR: VIC: Cobaw ANZAC Day sesh *Epic # of pics!*

Looks like you guys had fun. None of you found the original middle muffler while you there there lol?

Awesome trip report! You guys wheel those things just like the Jeep guys over here.

Dedman, what spots on the Forester are you able to lift with the high-lift jack?

I have a wheel adaptor for it which allows you to lift wheels way up and put stuff under them.
Can also use it on the towbar with care.

I think they are great tools, we used it on the trip to break the bead on one of my tyres to clean some sand out that got forced in there.

Awesome! I think it would be worth getting one just to be able to use the wheel adaptor alone. It beats digging.

I just wish there was a way to make a safe adapter to lift it at the factory jacking points. I guess I'll just have to build some strong rock rails if I want to do that.

Good idea idw, but at over $100 shipped, I can see Dedman pulling out the welder to make his own lol

Yea it is a bit much for what it is. I'm looking at a hi-lift/liftmate/winch kit, for a possible solo trip later in the year.

I just cant see a place on a forester where you would be able to use it....

The jack works fine on the towbar as is I am just hesitant to do it as it is not designed to have 700 odd kgs of upwards force on it... That and if you have 2 back weeks of the ground at once the jack becomes very unstable unless the front is well and truly stuck in place.

Last bit of the trip report, completed the day after the trip due to the dash cam turning off when I stalled... I had a Canadian friend with me this time which was a good bit of fun.

When we found out there was an audience the nerves kicked in, even though I knew I could do this track the day before...

The last segment of my pics show Dedman coming up this track in still images from the top of the track ;)
