It is of the utmost importance that you don't do anything to or with your car that will void your comprehensive insurance or TPPD insurance.
Defect notices can be fixed.
Bankruptcy is downright painful.
Most of our insurance premiums are actually calculated on the cost of the damage to a third party's vehicle, rather than the cost of the damage to our own.
Interestingly, my trailer insurance (currently insured for $3,500) will be about $10
less when the tent has been fitted, for an insured sum of around $3,000
more. Apparently camper trailers are much less likely to be involved in accidents than plain old box trailers, so the premiums are about half as much ...
