The Twinkmobile build on a budget.

I have pics but I can't seem to upload them from my phone.
Taza said he would help me install my spotlights and foglights this weekend.

Hope I did this right, I'll try to get to a computer and upload pics on Sat.

More mods to come hopefully!

Yup! After I get new rubbers and fluids I'm getting the sound system upgraded :-D

That would go awesome in the Pines rally! But I wouldn't blame your missus if she doesn't let you take it off the tarmac. This car deserves to be looked after.

She's already arranged for monthly detailing and has forbidden me from modding it :-(

She's already arranged for monthly detailing
Personally I like the monthly detailings, if I had the time I would detail my car every week.
and has forbidden me from modding it :-(
:lol::lol::rotfl:

I like the detailing, but I'm worried they will scratch the paint

Over the next few months the Twinkmobile will be at the mechanics (and at stilsons) to get a rebuild, she'll be getting: Bullbar, Side Steps, Rear bumper, Alloy Radiator,Snorkle, 4 pot calipers all around,New struts and springs all round, compressor in the engine bay, dual battery, awning ,sports exhaust installed, All new hoses and fluids, cargo barrier installed, darkest legal tint, lots of lights and.comprehensive under body protection!

I'll be posting pictures via tom, as the build happens, really excited!

Can we change the name of this thread from "The Twinklemobile build on a budget" to "The Twinklebeast ultimate Forry rebuild"
I associate build on a budget as being
"Found some PVC pipe on the side of the road today ... going to make meself a snorkel "
"Cut the bottom half of my rear bumper off today ... check out the approach angles of my new rear bar:rotfl:"

And your cars going to be a lot better than that. "The Twinklebeast ultimate Forry rebuild" sounds a lot better and more suitable as you are doing a proper 4wd rebuild. :lildevil:

Im with Red here, this is no longer a "budget" build :P
Good to hear you're keeping it and going nuts mate, might one day be able to go all the places an L series can ;) :poke:

But go there a lot faster and with premium luxuries such as air conditioning.

Wow quite a lot of work planned. Any lift planned? Or still gonna roll with stock. Keep in mind all the extra weight of that gear will drop you down a bit haha.
I'm assuming you have new rims planned for your 4 pots?

Gonna stay stock but I'm considering a 1" strut block lift to counter the sag, I've heard you can carefully grind off the edge of the calipers and stay with the original rims?
