Aftermarket sump guard required for sand driving?

That's all the SF has even the limited, I pulled out set of front belts from a limited last i was at the wreckers grabbing bits and bob, seat belt webbing makes handy soft tie downs if you've got the right sort of eyelet tool. :iconwink:

If I needed a sump guard again I'd be making my own personally. Cover most of the underside of the engine bay / front of the gearbox, like parks and dse do

I don't know how the SF pre-tensioners work. My '93 Impreza had the sort of locking system you are describing. It was called "locking inertia reel seat belts", or some such, AFAIK. Definitely not called "pre-tensioner seat belts".

Thats what we have...inertia locking belts, not pre-tensioners, no sensors or electronics, very basic but effective.

However, I feel we've gone off topic slightly lol

Back to sump guard, just make your own sump guard from cheap scrap aluminium, its a very basic design and all bending was done with wood and hammer, but it still does a great job protecting the sump area from stuff.
