WA monthly adventure!

I've recruited another Subaru driver for tomorrows' mission. He's got a red L series, but he lives some place way down South so we'll meet him in Mundaring.

Any ideas for the march trip?
Saturday the 1st or Sunday the 2nd.

Remember the first trip we went on before I bought my Fox, with WA subaru 4wd club Taza?
Down the beach south of Mandurah, that was a cool drive.

I'd like some more sand, powerlines always gives us damage. And I'd like to explore down South. Also, we still need to do a camp trip at some stage.

Sand's good fun!
I need to respray my underbody anyway, a sand trip will save me some time with the wet&dry :P

We'll find you a nice deep rutted beach to drag your belly through, this should smooth out the rough sanding job that Powerlines gave you:lol:

I'm interested in doing something, what's the plan after march ?

:welcome: to ORS Twinklz
what's the plan after march ?
We don't plan ahead that far:lol:

There's a camp trip in Yeagarup 28th Feb-2nd March

And we do lots of day trips to places like Powerlines, Pines and Lancelin ect

If there's any places that you would like to go feel free to let us know where and when and there is bound to be a few other who will go with you, there's quite a large group of us in Perth at the moment.

Hope it won't be too long before I see you on the track:iconwink:

Thanks mate, what's the go with the camp trip? My fozzie is stock, will it be a hard going trip? I've never done any off-roading so I'm looking forwards too tagging along and having some fun!

My Fozzie is stock too! (Partly because I like telling everyone that I just did that in a stock forester and partly because I'm a uni student with no money)
Once you know what your doing a stock forester will go nearly anywhere (modified ones are just able to take the harder route)

The only mod I'd highly recommend is an alloy sump guard, this can be made yourself or bought and there's plenty of threads on that. (I made mine myself)

This Sunday I'm taking a surfing mate for his first 4wd trip at Wedge (easy beach driving), if you're happy to surf/body board for a couple of hours you can come with us, otherwise there's always the weekend after.

G'day t.ridden & :welcome: to ORS.

Cheers mate, some good people and info on here

Thanks mate, I've got a subaxtreme sump guard, the one thing I got asap, I'm studying at the moment as well, so I can't afford the mods I want too do just yet. Thanks for the invite, but I'm staying away from beaches and salt, I have a lot of bare metal at the moment, so even if I washed, I'll just rust up like you wouldn't believe, but I'm keen for any bush ormud work. :-)

There's not much mud here in Summer.

Powerlines is a rocky track, it has some extremely difficult sections, but there's always a chicken track if your not confident (its easy to do some damage here)

Pines has a lot of soft fine dirt and is quite boggy

Wilbinga has heaps of inland sand tracks

I've never really been down South of Perth, but I am keen to try new places, so if any one has any more suggestions ...

Is there anywhere you would like to go?

I'm pretty keen to do the power line track, or try wilbinga. How long do they normally take?

Usually meet at some ones house at 8:30 and if noone breaks down we'll be back mid afternoon.

Due to unrelated reasons I am thinking about pulling out of the surf trip on this Sunday.

So, would Twinklz and anyone else be interested in a 4wd trip this weekend?
