WA monthly adventure!

You're always welcome to ride shotgun in the mud, as long as you don't mind getting yourself muddy ;)
Hopefully the swap will be done by the second week in July... All being well.
Also might be moving house sometime in that period so I'll see how I go. I'll need a holiday after that though :biggrin:
I'm keen to check out some more forest trails, like around the dams (Waroona's trails are epic, we'll have to make a day trip out there soon. Not for the mud, just the trails...which will be muddy enough) and near Harvey.

Wherever really, as long as its not deep sand like the Pines!

What was that about?
We met some rangers at the start who were a bit hesitant letting Subarus into the dunes (because that's only for "real" 4wds) but they did let us in. Mine got up the first sand dune easier than any of the big rigs we saw. But then we met another ranger in the dunes who didn't want Subaru's in there at all and rambled on about Subarus only being good for gravel road and there was no way that they could drive on sand, let alone any beach.

Anyway, I think if we met that particular @55H0L3 he wouldn't let us back in.

I'll keep the window up

In that case I'll put off the Wedge->Jurien trip until later.

We'll take my car on the sand tracks and yours on the mud.

Ridiculous argument. Doesn't sound like his argument was for the protection of the dune system but more so for the fact that he didn't think the car was capable (something I came up against too) - I would think it was just for the fact he thinks your going to need a recovery I guess...

There's no way he could stop you going up for the above reason then, it wouldn't be using his authority correctly...

No I don't think he legally could stop us going into the dunes, he'd just be annoying.
I'm still keen to go back there, I love dunes and that had the best dunes I've seen.

Forest trails? Im in! :cool:

Yeagerup rangers were puss bags of crap. He even said they got bogged earlier that day. How is such a thing possible if big 4by's are so good at yeagerup. EJ25 Subies with larger tyres and maybe some lift will probably go perfectly fine out there. It does get pretty soft in summer though..
Wouldn't mind another trip out that way either at some stage...maybe even Black point and Jasper(?) beach aswell.

Forest trails do sound good! Lake Jasper would be good to check out...

:woohoo:

So at the moment it looks like we're free to camp
Red (uni break)- 22 June ->27 July
Tom (after EJ) - 6 July ->27 July
Sarge - ? ->11 July + 19 July -> 3 April
Taza - Before August?
Interceptor - Just wants to go camping

Possible locations
Wedge -> Jurien
Yeagarup area

Maybe do
Wedge -> Jurien 6 July->11 July
Yeagarup - 21 July -> 25 July

So I'd like to do 2 major trips these holiday. Yeagarup and Wedge->Jurien. Plus I'm sure there will be other trips as well, we do live in WA after all.

Who's keen for which of those 2 trips? And then we'd work out when we'd prefer to do each of those trip?

What I've got so far
Red (uni break)- 22 June ->27 July (both trip)
Tom (after EJ) - 6 July ->27 July (Seems happy to ride in my Red where ever and when ever, but after EJ swap will compete with Red:lildevil:)
Sarge - 24 ->11 July + 19 July -> 3 April (Yeagarup)
Taza - Before August? (Wedge->Jurien)
Interceptor - Just wants to go camping (Yeagarup)
Twinklz - Just wants to go camping whenever and where ever in his Subaru Jackaroo

Feel free to update below if anything here is wrong.

Probably not before August for me. I get back at the end of august/early September.

Gotta put my lift kit back in the foz, install my full body lift(Thanks Nachaluva) and get some new tyres(Possibly muddies from twinkles) :iconwink: :raspberry:

Bit busy at the moment getting my ute repaired, foz sorted for offroading, work and planning what to do on my Hawaii holiday :cool:

I can only do weekends so could join you guys for a part of the trip.

In that case, should we do the Yeagarup trip on Saturday 5th July - Tuesday 8th July?
Fazed should be able to stay for the Saturday & Sunday
Tom might have the EJ up and running if everything goes well (fingers crossed)
Interceptor won't want to miss a down South trip.
And Sarge, Twinklz and I all seem keen on the trip.

The only disadvantage will be that it's the first day of school holidays so all of the roads will be busy. We might be able to solve this by heading off on Friday afternoon? or maybe if we were early enough of Saturday?

Taza - That's fine mate, enjoy the Hawaii trip. I don't suppose you'll have time to help me install my lift? If not I'll give it a go with my old man, shouldn't be too difficult with instructions off the internet.

I can lend a hand as well. You putting in springs or spacers or both?
