For a long time now I've been meaning to turn up this little side road off the main road that takes us into town and catch the sunset. I was taking my son over to a friends house last night (you can actually see his head in the lower left hand corner) and he had his i-Pod with camera, so we finally did it.:ebiggrin: One of those great father-son times, and he got the sun going down on video. Now I want to do it again with a real camera.

I hate this place. I know it's beautiful but we couldn't buy a drink there because we were wearing shorts. We could only get into the bar if we bought a change of clothes from the shops, owned by the bar...which also happened to be shorts.

Guess they forgot we were in Bali. Overprices drinks and run by the biggest tosser in Bali. Sorry...rant over. Nice photo though :lol:

weird. The Mrs wanted to go and she made me wear a collared shirt and trousers. Was sweating like a pig then we saw heaps of people go in wearing shorts and sandals.
Agreed about the overpriced drinks!

Did you hit up the Royal Gorge while there? The ride across the gorge in that ratty old thing is pretty nerve racking if you ask me!

No, I didn't.. Years ago, my dad and I walked it. (My mom wouldn't go across. "I'll just sit here and watch, in case this thing falls apart and you two fall in." :lol

It's quite the specticle! I don't know if they did it then, but now they even let you drive across which is even more nerve racking! Those boards would make their cracking noises and pop up.. Then the people you drive past are even more freaked out!:lol:

Back on subject.. Sun setting this last fall after the leaves had already fallen off all the oaks.

Taken with my cell phone camera, these were on Ft Myers Beach, Florida this last Thanksgiving.

Yeah it depends on who's working there. I bribed one guy who let me in...and then a little while later another guy told me I had to leave and would accept my bribes :lol:

Wow! It looks like Subie owners experience some the nicest sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen. Can't wait to get another Subie and start experiencing them again myself.
