Yep my luck, had 1 of my 2 amplifiers die on my way home from work the other day...
I first smelt burning then the fuses blew... Was an old amp that powered my speakers and I was given it so no real loss. Freaked me out when it sits right under the drivers seat.
Just a warning for everyone to fuse your accessories you wire in you car! Don't just put them to straight 12v + power! Car electrical fires can and do happen.

That is good advise mate & luckily for you, you had it fused by the sounds of it.

As a matter of interest, do you carry a fire extinguisher in your Forry ?

Must've been a pretty hot track! Happy there's no real damage to the car or your butt! :lol:

Just goes to prove all those people wrong who reckoned you wouldn't know if your a**e was on fire ... :lol: :poke: :rotfl:.

Seriously though mate, that a bummer ... :iconwink:.

You are right about the fuses. You can arc weld using a car battery ...
