All Terrain Tyres for a 2012 Forester Diesel

Yes, I've been driving on them for over a week now, and we went to an off road park (check out my other thread), they performed flawlessly. I commute 35 miles a day. The only rubbing I get is full extension of the rear suspension, usually when going high speed over a bump (50+ mph). The rubbing is so minor that I don't see the need in trimming the rear lining and there is no damage or even rub marks on the tire.

Here are some pictures of the tires mounted and in action...

that looks fantastic ! any increase in road noise at speed ?

They make a roaring noise at 40 mph and goes away by 45 mph. I've been up to 80 mph and they make no more noise than the stock Geolandars.

I have not tested the tires in deep sand yet, hoping maybe sometime this month.

I did not buy 16" wheels because I wanted to keep the wheels that came with the XT model.

I found out today the 16" tire is cheaper by almost $30 per tire. My friend with a Jeep Liberty 4x4 Diesel just bought a set of Cooper AT3's.

15" tyres will bag out a lot better than same diameter 16" which gives you a LOT more grip offroad, also the higher profile soaks up the bumps better so the ride is smoother. But they can be more expensive as they're less common.

The Cooper AT3 also seem pretty good :iconwink:
