SH9 tyre choice

Hey guys im in the market for a new of tyres for my SH9 ive decided to go for a 215/70R16 A/T just gotta decide on which one now?

Ive narrowed my choice down to the (still need to ring a few more places, but shown are the best prices ive found)

Bridgestone D697 $209

Yokohama Geolandar ATS $221

Toyo Open Country A/T $210

Falken WildPeak A/T $179

Was also looking at the Cooper AT/3 but after shopping around for prices I wasn't keen on paying the extra $30-$50 a tyre for them..

Can anyone offer any other suggestions or what they would recommend..

I have the General Grabber AT (not AT2) in 215 70 16 and would buy them again. Surprisingly, tires are much cheaper en Switzerland, I got mine for CHF 128.-/tire which is about the same in AU$...

I just asked Bob Jane Bankstown (NSW) for Yoko ATS 215/70r16 and got a quote for fitted and balanced $199 each. Dont know about Perth.

Cheers,

Thats a dam good price tuckerbag :raz:

The last quote I had for the Yoko ATS was $259 a corner
However that was for the 215/65r16 size though.

Thanks for all your input guys, and after looking at few different tyres in the flesh and a lot of research etc I normally like to be a bit different to the norm so ended up going for the Falken WildPeak A/T in 215/70R16 and I must say out of the box im very happy with them also im very surprised on how quite they are (only slightly noisier than the stock Bridgestone H/T Tyres) what I also liked was the good tread depth and strong sidewalls..

Ill keep you all posted on how they go in term of durability wear offroad use etc etc..

My 225/60r17 ats yokos went straight in. there is probably about 1cm clearance still from every side so I think you'll be ok your tyres should only been slightly larger overall than mine.

Hears some pic's Biesel, they come with the option of white lettering too but I had them fitted to the inside so ya couldn't see it..

Nice tires ! From what I've read, Falken belongs to Bridgestone.

Nah Falken is actually owned by the Japanese company Sumitomo which also has ties with Dunlop.

Look tougher than I thought.

Yeah that's one of the reason I went with them, sort of half way between a Yoko AT/S & BFG A/T..

But only time will tell how good they are, I gave them a few runs in the rain over the last week and I was very happy with there wet weather performance and just by looking at them im predicting they should be ok for offroad..
