Thanks for updating & adding a few more vids :)

Thanks for your vids !

At the moment, there still aren't any lockers for the r160 diff, but...I asked a mechanic that makes some lockers for the little Suzuki Samurai if he could adapt one, so I brought him a Forester first generation diff, we opened it together and he said he should be able to do one...and he is actually working on it and it should be done by april, so i'll tell you everything about it in a few weeks !

The front diff is a torsen (torque sensitive) diff made by Quaife that operates, well...look on youtube because i could maybe explain it in french but not in english ! The result is it works very well but is useless once you have one wheel off the ground like when on diagonal spin, or you have to use the brakes while accelerating...not that easy !!!

Super keen to hear the results of this!! And if it can be done for the back it can be done front as well

Maybe...but the front diff is bigger than the rear if I remember, and there's not much space because of the DR gears.

The best option for the front is maybe a clutch style LSD (Cusco) as it works with one wheel in the air, but I haven't tried any.

Wow...looks like it was an awesome trip!!!

Great videos, finally got some time to watch most of them.

Rock climbing action was sweet.

Really? I have no idea about a forester but i had an old 83dr subaru and the front and rear were very similar in size (not sure if they were exactly the same or not but were pretty damn close) Also I would have said there was more room in the front than the back as well. Never had a forester box apart though but apart from the ratios the rear diff has not changed between 83 and 99 so I just assumed the front would be the same.

Well, I should have a closer look next time I open a box and rear diff to compare.
