the next day we went out to Lark Quarry about 60ks west of Winton, the site of a preserved dinosaur stampede ( footprints ), the road was dirt a lot of the way and we spent the whole day exploring and saw heaps of excellent scenery.

ended a long awesome day watching the sun go down from a local look out , the track there recomended high clearance 4wd only but the little subie got there. even lifted the odd wheel a couple of times.

did a day trip to the town of Richmond and visited Kronosaurus korner, well worth a visit

i was talking to this farmer inside and he was the guy that found this VVV less than 50 meters from his house

very nice down the bottom , sheltered, quiet, lots to see but the water was freezing
still could not resist taking the boots of and going for a walk, you could easily spend a day here exploring, bring food!

The Gorge lookout is brilliant :)

It sure looks like it was worth the effort to make the 15 mins walk to the bottom :)

Great pics Legman!

I love the one with the roo balancing on it's tail, this should demonstrate to people how they can rip the guts out of you if you're too close to them - and that one looks like a small one!

The junk wall really does have a bit of everything in it - small and large! And I love the Gorge - there's something about that country that stirs something deep within me and I don't know why, but it has since I was a kid in the Territory.

I can't help but notice that you seem to be stalking a toyota and a camper trailer... Visiting Wolf Creek as well were we?? :P
