Trip Report: Wimmera River 10JUL-15JUL12

Hey Bennie.. what size is the lift in your L?

Three inch :D

Thunder, you think they're awesome on the video, wait until you hear them in person. Dulagarl reminds me of a well tuned 186 red  It's really something!

Now... *patiently awaits Dulagarls' photos*

Cheers

Bennie

Excellent trip report Bennie.

Looks like a great trip that I missed out on, as always wish I was there.

Hope to be on the next one.

Ok, been busy, and bennie’s shots are all better than mine, but here are some pics from the trip that haven’t been covered already…

Rubyscoo on one of the early crossings of the river

The river itself at the same spot

A couple of shots of Lake Hindmarsh taken while Bennie was removing mud

004imgp6166.jpg

Lake Albacutya in the morning, with the lakebed full of cloud creating the illusion of water

005imgp6187.jpg

An interesting looking spider

006imgp6194.jpg

The infamous “wet weather only track”. Awesome sand driving after that sign, but was having too much fun to take pics…

Except for these few…

Some nice clouds approaching Casuarina camp

Some old river redgums on outlet creek near Lake Agnes

Some pics of Wonga lake

And a few pics from my last trip up this way in June:

A cold morning froze the car…

020imgp5923.jpg

A cypress pine and the constellation scorpio…

021imgp5965.jpg

Snowdrift dune by morning

022imgp6050.jpg

Pink cockatoo at snowdrift

023imgp6077.jpg

Mallee Ringnecks

024imgp6115.jpg

And a trip wouldn’t be complete without a sunset view over Wirrengren Plain…

025imgp6027.jpg

026imgp6035.jpg

Was a great trip. Always happy to get up there.

I'm very flattered Dulagarl, but I highly doubt it! As I told you on the trip, everyone sees things differently, thus the attraction of other's photographic efforts!

The infamous “wet weather only track”. Awesome sand driving after that sign, but was having too much fun to take pics…

Awesome pic! This is one to add to the collection! I've really got to get a second camera battery, I'm a little pissed that the camera was on charge for this section!

And talking about good photography, those sunset photos are to die for so to speak. Awesome stuff - I'm finding that this area is calling me/us back!

Looking forward to the next adventure in this country!

Cheers

Bennie
