I'll bet you could hunt around a bit and find those for a better price, and install them yourself.:) I didn't even know they had such a thing.

Hi!
Does somebody put the hood deflector on 2012 Forester?

I assume that you mean the protection fitted along the leading edge of the bonnet ("hood", in US English ... ). We have one on our 2009 SH Forester. Came with the car.

I haven't uploaded any photos of it yet.

The part Guy told me that installation of that things are not simple at all even techs has bad tme doing that

The reason i aksed about hood protector is if i can do that by myself? And if somebody already installed that may i can get some hints before im doing some stupid sh...t

Here is a photo of RonnyRoo with the bonnet protector fitted:

The only "trick" is to make sure the plastic paintwork protectors are lined up properly so that the screws and clips don't damage the paintwork, either in fitting or from vibration in use.

Yes you right ! Yesterday i installed protection by myself.
And the only trick it to put the protectors (small 3M transparent piecies) under clips and under small black bumps and you need to do it before everything.
And black screws look ugly by the way

Good for you, mate.
Glad it went OK.

Ours has stainless steel screws which don't look too bad.
Different batch, maybe?
Black would probably look OK on ours because of its dark grey/green colour.

One of the first things I did when we got RonnyRoo was to remove and refit a couple of the clips so that I could realign the plastic protection strips that had been put on a bit sloppily.

I installed the rear bumper protector And the two side tape on it has real industrial strenght Why the dont sell somthing like that (industrial glue, tapes , cleaners) in usual stores they much much better
------------
Next thing - good set of A/T tires + 5% tint in very rear and trunk windows (on all others i did 20%)
And i need to do good photo session somwhere in the offroad
--------------
Still thinking about wheel archs installing by myself (to safe 230$ on labor) But i did not find any installation instructions on Internet

Thats how its look like from side

And from that point of view does it look like Hyunda Santa Fe isnt it?

That's why the screws on your bonnet protector are black ...
It's black! :iconwink:

The one on ours is clear. Probably why ours came with SS screws .
