Most of us on this list have had our Foresters for a while and so I don't think there are many of us with an 07 so your question isn't as simple as it seems. As Eden asks - what size are you running now?

Thank for your Reply

Now the size is 215 / 55 R 17 ( the standar size) this is arround 215 /60 R16

i'm really not sure about the 17's, but i think you probably couldn't go much bigger. what you might be better doing is getting a set of 15's or 16's depending on your brake calipers and put bigger rubber on them. keep your 17's for tar and the 16's for offroad

^ angle ginder can soom fix that! :lildevil:

225/70 R15's fill it up.

The rear has almost no clearance between the tire and the strut spring mount.

yep, i have 215/70/16 on my 03, next time i'll put 215/75/15's on i think

The DIAMETER of 215 /55 R 17 is: 668 mm

The DIAMETER of 225 /70 R 15 is: 696 mm
So, you think I can fit a tire whit 696 mm of diameter?? is arround 225 / 65 R16 ¡¡¡

My exactly question is. The biggest diameter, with stock spring

Thank to all for your comment...

Hi every one again.
Befor all, Thank to all for your comments was very useful,BUT

After search all the option avaliable in the market, I went to the store and before fit the new tire in the brake disc,I decide test if it fit in the spare tire hole. And surprise...do not fit....the new tire it´s to big (diameter).

So the question is:

Can I use in emeregency situation a original size tire???

Remember my Forester is 2007 XT auto,

Original size 215/55 R17

I try to fit, 235/55 r17 o 215/60 r17

The manual said:
"In Non turbo model" you have a emergency tire(it said is smaller than the standar) put ond the rear axle and put a fuse in the awd sytem.
But the manual do not said nothing if the car is Turbo....

Some suggest please???

Regards .

Whatever spare tire you use it should be the same rolling diameter as the others - do not use a different diameter. I think Subaru say the tolerance is no more than 1/4 inch.

Will the new tire fit when deflated - if so, then carry a 12V pump with you.

(the emergency spare is the same diameter but not as wide)

I've got 215 65 R16 Grabber AT2's and they didn't fit in the spare well until I went to my local panel beater - It looks a bit ugly but he did it for free and I don't look in there very often.

I just used a big hard rubber mallet :iconwink:

Thank to all

So:

If I use a tire 225/55 17 instead of 235/55 17

I can use the original size in the emergency tire?
thi difference is low than 1/4" ?

Regards
