The ultimate offroad Subaru.

I know there is no dual range 6 speed. Money- and lots of it- can fix that.

thanks, so with this you can lock the center differential?

Correct Sir :) The driver pretty much has the option to let the car decide traction duties or, you can decide where power is being put down, as in, you want to drift a little more through the corners you just switch more power to the rear differential and VOILA!

My car as it is except with a few extras:

H6 3.0 raptor supercharged conversion
Front and rear autolockers
DCCD center
Subaextreme rear bar with carriers
Custom gearbox with strengthened gears, heavy duty 1.61 low range, the autolocker, taller 5th gear with 3.9 diff ratios as i have.
And another 2" of body lift over what i have (to make 7" inc tires :lildevil:)

One day i hope to do all these anyway (besides raptor supercharged H6 thats just insanely expensive, H6 could MAYBE be a possibility but).

And of course an even better sound system. :raz:

Funky looking.

Yeeeeahhhhhhh! Man, these are the bee's knee's. It's like a jeep mixed with a impreza and an angry transformer.

Haha...please transform me! :lildevil:

what is DCCD?

Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD)

thanks! now i know what it is i want one:rotfl:

Hell yeah!

But does it actually lock? Like a L-series?

Almost. Left in manual 50:50, when you go to turn the car will fight you. Push on and there is an almighty bang which scares next week out of you.

Nice looking Forester! So what are the tie-down cables between front of bonnet and top of windscreen for?? Anyone knows?

Never seen anything similar...

Do believe those are to help keep brush off the wind screen, friend of mine had them on his Land Rover.

Taza, note the recovery points being used.:iconwink:

My ultimate Subaru would be an SF with locked straight axles and a custom frame. With an H6 with 33's and custom gearing. Roll cage. Front and rear bumpers. Rear tire & jerry can carrier. LineX full interior metal and from the bumpers down. Toyota 5 speed 4x4 transmission. Oh and a snorkel.

;)

Notice the droop up on the jacks...limited droop on the rear. Doesnt matter for a rally car though lol

I'd say it's due to stiffer sway bars...

What I have with a 3.6 H6, dual range STI 6 speed with DCCD and locking front and rear diffs, R 180 hubs and shafts, adjustable height suspension, rear wheel carrier and assorted accessories such as lights, etc, weighing 100kgs less than what it does now. Would include Haltech ECU, data logging, Haltech dash, etc. and do 50mpg on the freeway and 35 around town.

I like the sound of that drive train! I think the H6 would be overkill for me though! The dual range 6 speed would be awesome, especially if they worked out a rear transfer case to do all the low range work, thus not loading up the drive gears like we all are now!

Well, other than the above gearbox this is a no brainer - Ruby Scoo with a much better low range, maybe a selection of 2:1 and 1.6:1

Front and rear manual lockers is a must, snorkel, bash plates front and rear (protect fuel tank, it's on the to-do list still!)

Cheers

Bennie
