Ok guys, if money was no concern and you didn't have to daily drive the thing, or cart the family or shopping around what would your ultimate Subaru offroader be?

I'll get the ball rolling with an XV with a 2.5 sequential twin turbo setup, dccd with custom low gears 1-5, 4.444 final drive and LSD front and rear. 3" lift, swaybar disconnects, 15" rims with 31/10.5 mtrs, cutaway stock bumpers and cutout wheel well to house a full size spare. Snorkel, projector hid lights and lightbar. ORS sticker.

Actually I'd happily daily drive that.

Mine with wider 235 tyres, 1.45 lows, a much taller 5th, my DCCD fitted and a better rear LSD and maybe a snorkel but not really interested in a rock crawler.

Pretty much the H6 Forester, add a Raptor Supercharger, Forester GT bonnet, sunroof, replace the steelies with 15" sport alloys and 30" tyres, another 1" strut lift and swap the 30mm body lift with 3" body lift. Add a rear winch, Cannon muffler thats bullsh1t loud (why not since its not road legal anyway), front, rear and centre lockers plus front and rear LSD's, custom 1.175.1 low range rather than 1.59.1. (Yes this low range is possible, found someone who got a 1.182.1 gear made for their Subaru).

HID spotties added (4x Lightforce 170 Strikers), taller 5th gear, new gearbox with custom stronger gearset and all new syncros and bearings.

Lastly to top it off a Subaru flag on a pole attached the the spare wheel carrier on the back and a 'toyota recovery vehicle' sticker :) (Just for w$%^ factor).

The funny thing is that everything I want is actually legal with money....

I think it'd be a subaru Brat, 1" or 2" of lift, skid plates, AT tires... Or a crosstrek XV with the same mods. Automatic transmission, with an added transmission cooler.

Subaru should come out with a version of a Suzuki Sidekick, wouldn't that be fun!

Subaru and Toyota have massive success with the BRZ and decide to go another round.
First gen Tacoma body + STI guts = Brat II

1st gen Justy, 1.4 MultiAir Fiat/Chrysler engine, 4" lift, lockers front rear, full cage over body :)

What, like I would say something else, lol.

i would use a targa top brumby, put the turbo diesel engine in with the AWD box with a rear locker, and a custom box with low range. 4inch body lift with long travel suspension. and then some 31s

What I have with a 3.6 H6, dual range STI 6 speed with DCCD and locking front and rear diffs, R 180 hubs and shafts, adjustable height suspension, rear wheel carrier and assorted accessories such as lights, etc, weighing 100kgs less than what it does now. Would include Haltech ECU, data logging, Haltech dash, etc. and do 50mpg on the freeway and 35 around town.

If money wasn't an issue I'd start with the MY05 shape.
Change the chassis to a real one so I could have a winch on it.

Put a 3.6 H6 (with turbo) in with dual range (6 speed of course)
Front & rear lockers & adjustable height suspension & a 3" or 4" lift with a serious low range.
Probably go with a set of 30's tyres I say aswell.

A snorkel would also be a must & diff breathers naturally. And not forgetting a front & rear bars.

Finally it would need a decent sound system too, with a car-computer (touch screen) included.

To me, that would be the ultimate

Don't want much really do I

Regards
Mr Turbo

That is actually very possible. Instead Supercharge your turbo 2.5, swap your box with a dual range 5 speed (Don't think there is a 6 speed), add the rear carriers to your rear bar, another 4" lift (yes it is legal if engineered; upto 6" in Aus in total) and finally spend 10k on a sound system while turning the whole boot into a big subwoofer

You might need a few dual battery setups and a very big alternater to power the stereo system alone

Im thinking a WRX wagon would pretty cool, Built up like the one is these pics-
