Tribeca offroad?

Until you said they were members of your club I was going to say they were probably one of those old couples who hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, careered through the fencing at the beach carpark and found themselves there. Clearly I would have been wrong. In this instance.

That was the first time that the driver had been off road at all never mind in a Tribeca :)

I have to say I also like the styling of the Rav4 too. I prefer the newer one over the newer Forester anyday.

:furious:Well........guess everyone has different tastes. I am really enjoying my MY10 Forester.

I had a Tribeca driver approach me one day as I came off the sand at Rainbow Beach. He asked whether I thought he would go alright on the beach. The nose was so low and the sand so deep that I advised him not to bother. He turned around which was probably a good move. The video a few posts back proves what a sand plow they are.

Awesome effort then

Looks like it could use a lift and a bumper replacement buulbar, then might be pretty good.

+1

I think I'll keep my '97 Foz, pretty happy with it. Although...some more lift and power might be nice... :lildevil:

just having a quick search on the youtube found one being used as a snow ploy snow tribeca1 - YouTube
there is only a few were its in the snow thats basically it

I quite like this. EZ30R H6 plus revs = awesome note. Take that donk, add an aftermarket exhaust and a manual transmission, and put it in a Forester body and I reckon you'd have a pretty good vehicle.;)

You wouldn't happen to have any experience with this would you??

Hmm the Toyota klugger vs Tribeca vs 3.0R

More power to foz = 2.5XT no need for a flat 6, always brings a grin 4wheel power sliding out of a corner :raspberry: have never looked back since opting for the turbo

Have been out with kluggers on/off road they scrape well before the foz, too long and wide, the "the hill mode" grinds the vehicle to a halt and on road the front tires get shredded, brother in law is forever forking out for new tires and alignment, too heavy up front, also consumes 50% more fuel for the same drives as the foz - the downside of extra mass :poke:, the upside is extra seats for taking kids, friends or extended family to the shopping mall, which is really the only place they belong

As for the Tribeca, I am still amazed people are seen in public in them :iconwink:
Have not driven one so cannot comment, but I think sales figures say it all the inevitable was coming, it is a shame the forester line up did not get the additional R&D funds that went ion Tribeca
