Almost mate, just waiting on the new rims to be fitted with AT's...

Thanks to your links I will probably give the Two sticks / Powerline Trail a go, whats the track condition liek when you head down towards Gentle Annies and the Goodradigbee river ( My ultimate destination ). Will be keen for an escort up Mt Coree eventually but I will suss it our anyway in my mates Pathfinder soon enough.

A beauty in the making... dont stop now mate... the world is your oyster.

Mate nice foz! Love the camera too - that's crystal clear!

Edit, Installed today :

Narva Pencil/pinpoints ( Rectangle series )

Feeling more offroad than ever, now for the tyres and a cage ( Any tips on brands of cage for roof racks? )

Edit :

Added 35% Charcol Solartint job ( Love it on a white car )
Added Cargo Step panel ( OEM, purchased off ebay )

Geo AT-S set installed next Saturday ( 215/60/16 set, spare kept as original geo ), also sussed out a Rhino Rack cage and bag to mount on roof, hoping to still somehow get the Subaru OEM one but wont even try and order one from the states ( Postage! )

I've got a set of Wool Seat Covers from Autobahn that are 8yrs old and just beginning to now show their age, the color and fluffiness is fine, it's just the edges have small signs of wear (pull marks) where the wool is stitched to the fabric from getting in and out.

I'll definitely be looking to them for another set soon depending on the maker and the quality of course.

Pausum,

Tyres and more = $235 a wheel ( Includes balance etc etc ),

Almost $20 cheaper than the other place in Canberra I sourced...

nice ride... really is now getting there!

good luck witht he rear bar. I got quoted about $4.5 to $5k

I am in the design stage of making one

is that from SubaX???:surprised::confused: with or without jerrycan and wheelbar

If my memory serves me correctly it included both the jerrycan & wheelbar.(wheel carrier)

I recently (6 weeks ago) got a price from SubaXtreme on a rear bar with wheel and jerry carriers and fell off my chair when they told me...

I'm in the throws of designing one myself and my initial costing for materials and engineers certification comes to $1700. Sure, I am not charging for labour, but if I presume that they are charged the same for materials and certs. that leaves $2.8k for labour  approx. 47 labour hours  approx. 6 working days.

Now, lets say a day for cutting and bending of materials, another for welding up the bar/chassis frame. another for the cladding and lastly, a day for other bits and pieces and powder coating. Thats 4 days to build it. So 2 days are fat  16 working hours  approx. $1k.

So, in theory the bar should cost about $3k to $3.5k.

That's my logic anyway.

I know that Caddyman had his rear bar with the wheelcarrier put on his Outback a couple of months ago (July 2008) & it was around the 3k mark.

Yes the rear bar is on, here is a pic of it in action at a NSW Subi club training day.

I will give full details in a posting later, during the week. I have all the details and my pictures on my work computer.
But for ggvfr the final price was $3K (fitted) and the wheel carrier is removeable.

Luv that aerofoil on top!

(ditto - looking good!)

That's not an aerofoil Kev, that's his "water crossing kit" in case he falls into a hole which has just been released by Subaru.

And it's better than the snorkel mod. :)
Especially if the waters deep & it starts to float.
