Sick of bloody torn CV Boots - Double boot system?

I have the larger thicker cv's on the front i think they are from a front wheel drive Liberty.
I had them on for a bit over a year before replacing a boot. Silly me bought cheap well not so cheap boots from an auto shop they didn't last 3 months. The "cheap" boots cost me $18 then i bought some from a cv shop they were a lot better made and cost me a big $11 that's cheap:raz:.

The thing is $250 to do a boot is way too much for what it is if you keep an eye on the boots you can get a boot changed for about $80 bets getting a hole shaft.
To change a boot it's not that hard to do once you have seen it done $30 for a strap tool (once off) and a large socket (once off) for the main nut on the shaft most of the other stuff is basic tools.
To do a quick check on the cv's just lift the bonnet and look down the sides on the engine you can normally see them from the top.

The other thing that comes to mind is if you tear a boot on the tracks carry some duck tape in the clove box and rap the tape around the hole boot and don't spare it the more the better it will get you out of trouble and you wont have to get a new shaft.
