Massive oil consumption in FXS 06

Thought I would add my recent discovery to this thread, rather than creating my own..

the last 2 trips to the gulf I used 2L of oil over 1000km which is really strange

Sounds like too much crankcase pressure blowing oil past the rings, valve stem seals and possibly gaskets ... Has you gearbox oil level increased?
Those PCV hoses and valves are there for a very important purpose.

Does the weber carby make much difference to power?

It's worth paying $360 (or so from the US) as it's a definite power upgrade. It reacts like mechanical secondaries even though it's vacuum. Economy stay the same too, unless you boot it.. which you will for the first tank or so

I think I hooked the PCV hoses up correctly, they just go into the plenum above the carby right?
