Hi everyone, not sure if this topic has been covered before, couldn't find it in the 'search' function. I got (stole) this idea from Taza. Thanks Taza.

My car's name is
DSCN3997.jpg

She got her name after I had an open forum, and then a poll on the Subaru Club's Website; to find what name I should call my car. She's called Wanda, because she wanders all over the countryside.

Regards,

Joel

Cool we have a beach here called Wanda Beach :raz:

Mine's called the Little Red Wagon as most of you know by now

I think Kevin thought it up haha.

And the new addition is called The Truck as its always referred to as that.

Well I have mentioned her name a few times and it's Lisa. The name just seemed to fit.
My mates call her Sandy though due to her always being sandy inside and out

The red MY 03 I recently sold, and my first ever subie, is the origin of my forum name “Djulpan” (pron: joolpan)

It’s a Gumatj word from East Arnhem Land, and refers to the constellation “seven sisters”. Seven Sisters is a constellation known by many indigenous people both here and overseas. IN Japan it is known as Su-baru, hence the logo.

The H6 Forester I bought and have kept, I decided to give a name based on what the mechanics and others have called it i.e. "the beast"

keeping with the Indigenous theme, I have called it the "Dulagarl"
A word used by Koories, including the Yuin people of Sth coast NSW, to describe what is otherwise called a Yowie or big hairy man / beast. In Koorie folklore it is the equivalent of our bogieman, mixed with the Nth American notion of bigfoot. (e.g. kids are told that if they are not careful the Dulagarl will get em). It seems a fitting name for the H6 monster.

I named my Forry Sue, short for Subi-Submarine. If you read some of my trip reports, you'll fully understand how & why I ended up with that name

Regards

The Forrie is called.... Wait for it.

The Forrie

The WRX is called The Flying Pig. I'm sure nobody I haven't told can guess why!

Do I really need to tell others the name of my L seires?!

Bennie

My WRX is a 1999 model, and when I joined the WRX Club in 2001 there were blokes there who had had their cars since 1994, and had been modifying them for some time time. They reckoned a standard WRX was about as common as a flying pig. So I told them I had a flying pig.

Never really thought of a name, but usually what comes out of my mouth when we decide which vehicle to take is "the scoob". Ruh roh!

Triggerr. Changed the spelling but named after Roy Roger's horse. :rotfl:

Don't worry, Djulpan is in good hands. She's retained her name ;). From a proud new owner
