Project completed...and now tested.
First the bike;
I bought this frame set 20+years ago from a Cannondale rep, new in the box, '88-'89ish MY. Long before I was married and of course
way before I had any kids, but I got it because it had 24" wheels and a small frame size and I was hoping someday it would be my kid's bike.
Shimano U-brake with Scott-Mathauser brake pads.
Hershey cartridge bearing canti's up front.
All bikes I build have at least one Campagnolo part, front QR skewer in this case.
Dura Ace rear derr., SunTour XC high flange hubs laced to Sun Rhino-Lite rims built by me.
The ride, perfect fall day here in NC. Did a big 4 miles.:iconwink:
Gravel road up...
...little rest before single track down...
...first taste of single track, and a monster is born.
Tomorrow is going to be another perfect fall day, and we're going for 6 miles...
