This might give you a few chuckles if you haven't seen it already

Very good. Love it. But don't go to England because you'll have heart palpitations!

Funny thing is we're complaining about our gas averages hitting about $3.30 a gallon, as to where i think you guys are paying close to $5 +/-? Our currency is pretty close to the same, or atleast it was a few weeks ago.

The price of oil would go to half what it is now if our government would tell the "New Environmentalists" to get lost and DRILL BABY DRILL! Local oil is safer on the environment then oil that is drilled half way around the world and then transported that huge distance.

No kiddin!

Edit from earlier.... Gas has gone up another .25 cents a gal since lunchtime. Yet the price of oil is still the same..... really!! Sorry, i get irate when i see this happening because there's NO logic to it.

Big Bend trip might get put on the back burner if this keeps up :yell:

Standard ULP last I filled up was $1.40/litre. But the poor old Poms really pay through the nose- as do most Europeans. We're better of than them, but not as lucky as you.

sad thing is, less than 1% of our crude comes from Libya. The traders taking on the $15-$20 "fear premium" per barrel is whats doing this. Will be another record year for the oil tycoons. *%$@^!

Gee, they must love the odd middle east crisis- maybe it is them encouraging it. One can only hope their day will come

95 PULP was $1.49 when I filled up a week ago - My Foz doesn't like 91, runs like a dog on it (it pings, it feels laggy). Going to a diesel when it's due for replacement.

Dad's a real convert of diesel now. He's living in Paris, and has had multiple rental cars over there - all have been Diesel Manuals - the average in his last rental (Peugeot 308) was 4.8l/100km.

That's what I love about the Euros- they all drive manuals! I remember walking down a street in the middle of Vienna- I counted 20 manuals before I saw an auto- and that was a big Merc. I think if it weren't for the Euros we'd all be driving autos. God bless 'em! (Yes, I know most people visiting Vienna look at the magnificent buildings. Don't worry, I did that too!) And most of the cars I heard were diesels too. The Euros have also been- as best I can tell- at the forefront of diesel engines for passenger cars. I used to call diesels "Hill Detectors". No longer.

Well I'm just about to head out & fill the Liberty/Legacy as it needs about 50L & it's about to go up at midnight by 13c per L or about 60c per gallon.

Crude is a world traded commodity. Any loss of production effects the price worldwide. If we got most of our oil at home, the crude would still be the same price, but we would save large amounts at the pump by saved transportation costs. We would also be putting the money into our economy rather than someone elses, and create jobs here, also.

Even Saudi Arabia said gas should be around 1.80 a gallon before taxes. It's all the traders, which are making another bubble

I l-o-v-e that advance price comparison thing in W.A. d-gen. Wish we had it all over Aus.

Mind you, I need to fill more than once a week, so usually it is a case of win some / lose some.

I will be in the next couple of days... :(

Fuel was 130.9cpl last time I filled up, its now 141.9cpl since just before the long weekend. Rumour has it that the price is going to rise steadily up until after easter. ******* oil companies raping us!

Cheers

Bennie
