Differences are probably mostly just about local regulations. However, could also have something to do with softer US suspension settings compared to Aus / Japan / Europe.First thing I did was install a hitch. Got a 4000# rated hitch to tow my skiff and hold my bikerack. After that, I installed a hood guard, window vents, mudflaps and HID lights in the low beam and foglights.
Amazingly the Outbacks are rated for higher towing duty in Europe(4400#) than here in the USA(3000#), for the 3.6 versions. They are the same vehicles so I wonder why that is....![]()
