we need a chat page it would be helpful on comuncating with people when we are trying to figure things out or just to say hi

NASIOC.com just integrated cometchat ( https://www.cometchat.com/ )

It seems to be working o.k for now, though it does slow down page loading etc.....

You could use IRC, and try and get a dedicated page with moderators etc, i use something similar for another forum and it works well.

Yeah we could do that, that would work. Its not to hard to create. Personally im not a fan of chat pages but we could try it.

Yeah, having a chat option would be cool. I don't know how facebook or twitter would work though since it would kinda defeat the purpose of this forum & actually take away from it. I'm not an admin though, so i wouldn't know how or if the forum has an option like that. We want to keep everything on here, not take it somewhere else.

Yeah, a chat room would be sorta useless. The only thing i could think that would be handy is an instant message option. But like i said, i don't know the ins & outs of the forum so i wouldnt know if we're even capable of doing so.
