I-phone access to the forum...

I've done it on multiple sites and never once had a problem.

You do the same functions. it's just a lot simpler, easier to manage, with all of the forums you want in one place. I didn't understand untill i used it.

If you're happy using browsers then it's not as relevant, although still an improvement.

I'm happy to assist the forum with installing it if need be as i've previously said.
It's abit like with emails, I have 4-5 email addresses, some work, some for junk mail and the likes and have them all come in through the same web based programing making life 5x easier so I do understand what you mean Venom.
 
I only voted No because I normally check the site at home on my computer. I have a smartphone, but rarely use it for internet etc.

It would certainly be nice to see more votes. We certainly have way more active members than we do votes.

This is certainly not a dead issue, but I really think at this time it is on hold, at least for a while.
 
This forum needs tapatalk it just makes everything more stream lined and easier to navigate! Also all other major forums have tapatalk or even their own app (NASIOC) if y'all are wanting to keep up, at a minimum you need to have at least what the other forums have! I love this place so far and I want to see it grow into a huge forum! With lots of members!
 
I know I'm bringing a dead thread back to life, but as a newbie I can really see the advantage to having a mobile version to the forum. Members can upload pictures onsite. Also ask for real time help if others are on the forum. Tapatalk has helped me troubleshoot an issue with my Jeep before. I was able to post up a thread and see responses. The tapatalk forum does not use as much data as the safari browser so it can be used in low reception service areas.
 
We could perhaps, but lets just see what happens etc over the next few days/week or so :cool:

I use the iphone a lot to access the site as I can't access youtube and many links at work. Funny though work supply the iphone and give me one gig of data!!
At home the internet is so slow as we are at the end of the wire and I can't play youtube, so if I want to checkout a video I walk up the hill to get 3g reception !!! The joys of living in the country.

No idea what Tapatalk is though :)
 
I'll toss in my two cents, as a new member I find I am on the site much less than other Subie forums because I can only access from a computer.

Tapatalk support would be stellar!

Did you ever have the original tapatalk? I've been thinking of purchasing the newer version, but I don't know if it would be an improvement on my iPhone 4S.
 
I don't get it? Why are iPhones struggling with this forum? It seems like pretty plain vanilla web design to me (though I have not reviewed the code), why do iPhones have a problem?

Not so much just iPhones, but smart phones in general. Tapatalk just cleans up all the unnecessary gobbldy-gook (tech term:iconwink:) and makes a site much easier to navigate on a small screen, and easier to directly upload photos from your phone.
